Yeah, we get that a lot. While we do play many well-known jazz ‘standards’, our repertoire also

includes titles by the likes of Amy Winehouse, The Rolling Stones, Santana, U2 and many more.

WHAT DO WE DO?

ABOUT US Heads UP! are a jazz quartet based in Essex, playing melodic modern jazz with a bluesy, funky edge and blending new takes on standard tunes with original compositions and a healthy dose of world rhythms. After a search to find the right personnel, the line-up has now settled on Steve Duke on guitars, Julia Austin-Brenes on saxophones and flute, various basses from Steve Gee and the drums and percussion of Rick Wills. Drawing upon their varied musical backgrounds and influences, but making music for the future, Heads UP continue to move forward in 2019/20. To book Heads UP contact us here.
